The 7″ Chocolate Vinyl Record is a fully playable, single-sided record molded from real dark chocolate and precision lathe-cut with functional grooves. It looks like a classic 7-inch single, plays on a turntable, and then becomes dessert.

This is both a music format and a confection — engineered with the same mechanical discipline used in our lathe-cut workflow.

Handmade in small batches. Limited to one per customer.

Production Details

Each record is molded using food-safe silicone casting forms, then lathe-cut to create real, playable grooves.

Playback Requirements

• Optimized for lightweight DJ-style cartridges (Concorde-type designs)
• Set tracking force between 0.75g – 1.5g
• Use the lowest tracking force your cartridge supports
• Forward playback only — no scratching or back-cueing

Most DJ cartridges are capable of tracking much heavier (2g–5g). This format requires them to be set to the lightest possible tracking force.

Chocolate is significantly softer than vinyl. Tracking above 1.5g will permanently damage the grooves.

Playback will cause light surface shaving over time. This is expected and part of the edible novelty format.

Storage & Handling

• Store below 70°F (21°C)
• Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources
• Handle by the outer edge
• Groove geometry is temperature sensitive
