Welcome to Lathe Cut Vinyl Records (“we,” “our,” “us”).
By using our website (lathecutvinylrecords.com) and placing an order, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read carefully.
1. General Conditions
By purchasing from us, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
Prices, products, and services may change without notice.
We may update or revise these Terms periodically; any changes take effect immediately upon posting.
Every record is handmade; minor cosmetic variations are natural and expected with the lathe-cut process.
2. Products & Services
All records are lathe-cut, not pressed.
Slight surface differences or markings are normal for hand-cut discs.
Runtime and sound quality depend on the audio source provided.
Free premastering is included with all orders (Side A & B or single tracks).
Optional add-ons such as jackets, stickers, engravings, and lyric sheets are available and may ship separately from records.
3. File Delivery Requirements
Accepted file formats: WAV (24-bit preferred, 16-bit accepted) at 44.1 kHz or higher.
Files may be uploaded during checkout (max 200 MB) or sent via WeTransfer or email to info@lathecutvinylrecords.com.
Customers must ensure that all files are final, correctly labeled (e.g., Side A / Side B), and legally owned or licensed for reproduction.
4. Shipping & Turnaround
Standard Turnaround: Approximately 14 business days after receiving final audio files.
Orders requiring printed artwork or engraving may add 1–2 weeks for design setup, proofing, and approval.
U.S. Shipping
All domestic record orders ship via USPS Media Mail with tracking.
Media Mail shipments may include records only — no jackets, stickers, or printed materials are allowed under USPS rules.
Stickers, center labels, jackets, and lyric sheets ship separately via USPS First Class or Priority Mail, depending on weight.
Engraved records are part of the vinyl itself and ship with your record order.
Each mailer holds up to 10 records; larger orders ship in multiple mailers.
International Shipping
All international orders are shipped via USPS International Services for consistent global coverage and tracking.
Records and printed items may be packaged separately for protection and accurate customs classification.
International buyers are responsible for all customs duties, VAT, and import taxes charged by their country.
We cannot issue refunds for refused, unclaimed, or destroyed international shipments.
Tracking & Coverage
All shipments include tracking.

USPS Priority Mail and USPS International include up to $100 of carrier coverage.

USPS Media Mail and First Class do not include insurance.
Once a shipment is marked “Delivered,” Lathe Cut Vinyl Records is not responsible for loss or damage.
5. Returns & Refunds
Because each record is custom-made, all sales are final.
We do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges once production has started.
If your order arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 7 days of delivery with clear photos and your order number.

6. Intellectual Property
By submitting audio files, you confirm you have the legal right to reproduce and distribute the material.
Lathe Cut Vinyl Records is not responsible for copyright or licensing disputes related to customer-provided content.
7. Limitation of Liability
Lathe Cut Vinyl Records is not liable for shipping delays, customs holds, or events beyond our control (force majeure).
We are not responsible for playback issues caused by worn needles, improper setup, or equipment malfunction.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Michigan.
