Make A Vinyl Record

Cut inside a professional audio facility — not a hobby operation. We produce real, professionally cut vinyl records, even if you only need one.

Looking to make a vinyl record, create a one-off, or turn a meaningful recording into a physical format? Your audio is prepared by experienced engineers who understand groove behavior, format limitations, and signal translation before the cutting process begins.

Whether you're creating a custom vinyl gift, preserving a once-in-a-lifetime moment, or producing a personal project, we manage the entire process — audio preparation, artwork support, UV picture disc printing, and precision cutting — so you don’t have to navigate technical details alone.

Custom Vinyl Records

Turnaround Time

Typical production time is approximately 3 weeks once all audio files, artwork, and order details have been received. Because each record is cut and assembled individually, complex artwork or revision requests may extend production slightly. If you are working against a deadline, we recommend contacting us before ordering.

When Does Production Begin?

Production begins once all required files have been received and approved. Orders missing audio or artwork remain on hold until materials are delivered.

File Upload, Audio & Artwork Requirements

Upload files using the Hot Pink uploader during checkout. If files exceed the upload limit, send them via WeTransfer to info@lathecutvinylrecords.com and include your order number.

Files must be fully downloadable — streaming links are not accepted.

Accepted files:

  • Audio — WAV or AIFF (preferred)
  • Artwork — PNG, JPG, PDF
  • ZIP — bundled assets

Audio requirements:

  • 44.1 kHz / 16-bit minimum
  • Up to 15 minutes per side
  • One audio file per side
  • Include track spacing (~2 seconds between songs unless seamless)

Stereo & Mono:
Stereo files are cut in stereo. Mono files are cut in mono. If mono compatibility is required for safe cutting, adjustments may occur during pre-mastering.

Required artwork sizes:

  • Jacket — 12″ × 12″ front and back
  • Center labels — 3.5″ diameter (Side A & Side B)

Templates are available upon request.

File naming:

  • Single disc — Artist_SideA.wav / Artist_SideB.wav
  • Double-disc — Artist_SideA.wav, Artist_SideB.wav, Artist_SideC.wav, Artist_SideD.wav

Upload limits:
Each checkout supports one record master. Multiple copies require only one upload. Different titles should be ordered separately or arranged as a label project.

Optional track lists or PQ sheets may be included as a PDF or text file.

Jacket Printing & Color Selection

Your artwork is printed as a full-size 12×12″ sticker and professionally applied to a record jacket with spine for a clean, retail-style presentation.

We stock both white and black jackets and select the option that best complements your artwork. If you have a preference, you are welcome to note it when submitting files. Final jacket pairing is determined during production to ensure the strongest visual result.

Will My Record Arrive Fully Assembled?

Yes. This edition is designed as a complete, presentation-ready package. Center labels are applied in-house, artwork is mounted to the jacket, and the record ships ready to play, gift, or display.

Audio Expectations

Your record is cut directly from the audio you provide. We do not automatically remix or remaster submissions, but free pre-mastering adjustments are included when necessary to support safe cutting and reliable playback. For best results, submit your highest-quality final mix.

Can I Request Changes After Submitting Files?

Changes may be possible only if production has not yet begun. Once a record enters the cutting queue, revisions are typically unavailable due to the one-at-a-time fabrication process. Contact us immediately if updates are required.
