The 320G Diamond Recording Stylus is a professional cutting stylus designed for cutting PETG and other plastics on vinyl record lathes. This is a true recording stylus—made to cut grooves, not play them.
Our diamond recording styli are made in the USA using synthetic, lab-grown diamonds. No mined diamonds, no blood diamonds, and no unstable foreign supply chains. Every stylus is built and finished in-house using a modified carbon PG4 system adapted specifically for recording styli. We control shaping, polishing, re-sharpening, and mounting from start to finish.
Each stylus is manufactured with an ultra-fine polished cutting edge. Typical tip radius falls in the 1–3 micron range, depending on the individual diamond and final polish stage. These are not sold as separate “1 micron” or “3 micron” versions—every stylus is finished to the same high-precision standard and inspected under magnification.
Each stylus is built with a high back-rake cutting angle, optimized for cutting PETG and other plastics. This geometry improves chip flow, stabilizes groove walls, preserves high-frequency detail, and reduces surface noise.
All styli include a nichrome heating wire attached and glued in place, ready for use with heated cutter head systems.
Mounting Options
Aluminum Collet – Glued Mount
The traditional method used by most stylus makers.
-
Diamond bonded into aluminum collet

Lower-cost option
-
Excellent performance for most cutters
Titanium Collet – Brazed Mount (Premium)
Our highest-fidelity option.
-
Diamond is brazed, not glued
-
Titanium collet for higher stiffness
-
Better energy transfer
-
Lower micro-vibration
-
Cleaner high-frequency response
-
Longer service life under heavy cutting
